IITM Pravartak signed MoU with Gregorian Institute Technology on Industry Skilling for B.Tech. Students

IITM (IITM) Pravartak Technologies Foundation and Gregorian Institute of Technology (GIT), Kottayam have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 28 th May 2024 to provide Industry Skilling Programme (ISP) for the B.Tech. students of GIT. The MoU was signed and exchanged between Mr. G. Veeraraghavan, (Chief Operating Officer, IITM Pravartak) and Chairman of GIT Mr. Jojy Thomas. Dr. Ramesh S C (Principal, GIT) was present during the signing of the MoU. 

The Industry Skilling Program (ISP) is a comprehensive training initiative designed for both computer science and non- computer science engineering students. This program is offered for five semesters from basics to advanced level. The Industry Skilling Program offers a robust curriculum aimed at equipping participants with essential skills demanded by the industry. Through this MoU students will get an opportunity to avail hands on education and training in the following technologies with mentors from IITM and industries.

Objective
The main objective of this program will be equipping students with foundational and industry-specific skills for successful careers in technology and related fields. We are aiming to
1. To enhance the quality of industrial coding and problem-solvingcapabilities of students

2. To practice projects using industrial technologies. Also guide them in creating industry grade projects.

3. To make students to get more experienced with advanced data structure problem solving with optimal solutions and speedy thinking of solutions.

Curriculum Highlights: The Industrial Skilling Program curriculum covers a wide array of specific industry technologies, enabling participants to gain proficiency in the following areas:

1. ML Tech Stack: Introduction to machine learning technologies and applications.

2. System Design: Comprehensive training on designing scalable and efficient systems.

3. Data Science / Java Full-Stack: Exploration of data science concepts alongside Java full-stack development.

4. Enterprise Cloud Tech Stack: Hands-on experience with cloud technologies tailored for enterprise applications.

5. Data Science Analytics & Visualization Stack: In-depth analysis and visualization techniques for data science projects.

6. Web Dev Stack with UI/UX: Development of web applications with a focus on user interface and user experience design.

Outcome
1. Students to learn problem solving capabilities and adopt that as their style by own, without referring to the internet for solutions.

2. Students to get into a capstone project with technologies and algorithms that they have learned during this program.

3. Polishing students’ capabilities in cracking interview tests and interview questions with clarity and confidence. To prepare the students ready to face interviews by Product oriented, Fintech oriented and Service oriented companies.

4. Students will be given industrial internship projects during this course
