Chairman's Message

In a country where education is held in very high esteem and the teacher is equated to God, we at Gregorian Institute of Technology (GIT) have dedicated ourselves to impart education and develop the student to be a responsible engineer and individual. GIT established with the objective of providing quality technical education with adequate industrial exposure, caters to the needs of youth with its innovative teaching methods. Engineering is a vast field that offers infinite specialization. All fields in the modern economy have been invigorated by engineering. Undoubtedly, the shape of the modern world has been credited to the advancements in science and technology. A graduation in Engineering opens unlimited opportunities to identify a job, start a business and marvel in research.

Students of GIT are groomed carefully and the virtues of hard work, discipline and ethical practices in profession are imbibed in them constantly during their campus life. Campus life here stresses the importance of extra academic activities apart from academic learning, leading them to many new avenues. All these go a long way in making our student a thoroughbred professional, eminently suited to contribute in his chosen career with an ever open mind for new thoughts and ideas in industrial and technological advancements.

Education is a noble affair. It is a holy endeavor and should be holistic as well. The utilisation of education for spreading the values of culture and modernization came into existence from time immemorial.

We provide a system of education whereby a ‘state of the art’ technology would support a much wider array of content from a worldwide perspective that would take the children of today through such strategically planned experiences, that were drawn from any part of the world and measured up qualitatively as per world standards to prepare world citizens of tomorrow. To ensure this, our Institution has established world-class infrastructure with an environment and ambience that will foster state-of-the-art technical education.

We are achieving our motto to ‘Stay Ahead’ by providing teaching-learning and assessment systems that aim at developing higher order thinking skills; ample training on development of engineering skills; and through volunteer engagement of students in innovative practices in our special labs leading to participation in national and international competitions. We have also started numerous technical, non-technical and social clubs to cater to the physical & mental well-being, and to recreational needs of our students, while engaging them in socially productive activities. Through this plethora of activities, we could produce finest of the engineers, bridge the academia–industry divide, and naturally attract placement opportunities towards our students.

Skill Development Institute, Bhubaneswar (SDI-B) is a flagship project of Oil & Gas PSUs established for imparting job skill training to unemployed & underprivileged youth of society to make them job ready. The institute is managed by IndianOil and registered as not-for-profit society.

IBM Career Education

IBM Career Education provides programs to help people develop skills for IT jobs. They offer programs for students, universities, and experienced professionals. The programs focus on in-demand skills like cloud computing, data science, and artificial intelligence.

World Skill Centre

The World Skill Center (WSC) is a premier advanced skill training institute established by the Government of Odisha, Skill Development and Technical Education Department, through the Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA). Shri Naveen Patnaik, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, inaugurated the WSC on 5th March 2021.
