GIT Engineering College is proud to collaborate with IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation, a premier Technology Innovation Hub established under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS). Through this MoU, students at GIT receive Industrial Skilling delivered by IITM Pravartak experts, gaining access to structured learning programs, expert mentorship, and modern problem-solving methodologies.
This collaboration—first of its kind in Kerala—enhances GIT’s academic ecosystem by integrating industry-aligned, research-driven skill development modules into the engineering curriculum, preparing students for the evolving digital and AI-powered world.
What is Industrial Skilling?
Industrial Skilling provides students the opportunity to understand and acquire the experience needed to work in an industry environment.
It equips students with:
- Skills required to face evolving technical challenges
- Hands-on experience
- Exposure to industry-relevant tools and technologies
- Training that helps them excel in their chosen engineering careers
Industrial Skilling @ GIT
Through IITM Pravartak, GIT offers a 5-semester Industrial Skilling Program (ISP) starting from the second semester of the engineering curriculum.
This program includes:
- Instructor-led sessions
- Hands-on training modules
- Industry-oriented assignments
- Guidance from IITM Pravartak mentors
The program focuses on:
- Industry Common Technologies during the first five semesters
- Industry Specific Technologies during the final two semesters
ISP training includes both conceptual foundations and project-based learning aligned with modern technology requirements.
